Societal development hinges on energy availability, particularly in the context of electric power, a vital resource for progress and technological advancement. The contemporary imperative to transition towards renewable energy sources stems from the need to combat environmental degradation, notably global warming induced by fossil fuel combustion. Commitment to energy independence involves a significant shift towards clean alternatives, with a focus on solar energy. Despite strides in integrating photovoltaic parks into the energy grid, challenges related to overvoltages and atmospheric discharges persist. This paper addresses the scientific problem of ensuring adequate protection against atmospheric discharges for photovoltaic parks, proposing a comprehensive lightning protection system. The research explores theoretical foundations, evaluates existing protection measures, and outlines specific objectives for achieving robust lightning protection in evolving energy landscape.
