The Constitutional Regime of Good Living and Citizen Empowerment

The new political-constitutional regime that is derived from the Alfaro city charter approved by referendum (2008), configures a state of rights and Justice, whose most salient foods would be a system of rights and institutions designated as "good living" (Susmak Kawsay ) sustaining in the plurinationality and interculturality and a democratizing legitimizing process of participatory empowerment of citizenship. Unlike the legalistic-administrative state of law and the allocating social state, it requires a systematic dynamics and conception of essential justice and not just material. These would be the challenges to achieve a democratically constructed citizenship in plurality and diversity, examined at work
