Local government management: market price relationship between municipal Guayaquil

Abstract

The network of markets in the city of Guayaquil has failed to integrate ali food street vendors. Furthermore, the observed behavior of prices between markets has not been uniform, there price difference together. The above concepts were served to qualify the efficiency ofthe primary function oflocal governments. For the realization offieldwork the city was divided into four zones of Guayaquil. In addition, for comparison ofthe effect ofmanagement policies were observed eight markets in the city of Guayaquil. The main variable was the market price for 44 food products for the category you select the basic consumption basket. To study the variation in prices between markets were surveyed in two months every 20 days. The comparison between markets was done using ANOVA test for the normal population and Kruskal-Wallis for atypical population. The results obtained allow us to conclude that there's no variation in prices between markets.
