Microsurgery is a very important technique within plastic surgery that allows the surgeon with experience in microsurgery to repair any effect on the body, be it congenital; acquired or traumatic. It can be applied safely in adults and children. The success of these microsurgical procedures lies in the preparatory planning that is a significant task and will have to do directly with the result of the procedure; Patient selection, surgical planning, donor site selection, transferred tissue viality and technical aspects of the atmosphere are very important, however an error in one of these aspects will lead to the failure of the free flap. There are some factors such as age, patients undergoing radiotherapy-chemotherapy and various systematic diseases such as atherosclerosis, diabetes, cardiovascular disease that limit its application.
