Chemical Engineering and Development (INQUIDE) is an international, bilingual, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. It publishes original peer-reviewed scientific articles in English and Spanish in the fields of engineering, applied science, and sustainable development. Its objective is to disseminate rigorous research that contributes to technological advancement, industrial innovation, and the responsible management of resources. The journal promotes studies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly affordable and clean energy, industry and innovation, and responsible consumption and production. INQUIDE is published twice a year (January and July), with no submission, processing, or publication fees for authors, and an estimated review time of 1.5 to 3 months. The journal is currently indexed in several international academic databases.
