The journal INQUIDE – Chemical Engineering and Development receives original and unpublished contributions that represent significant advances in the field of engineering and related areas. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be in the process of evaluation in other journals or media.

Types of Accepted Items

·         Research articles: original works with relevant scientific results.

·         Review articles: critical and systematic analysis of updated scientific literature.

·         Essay Articles: The essays section is aimed at encouraging the participation of teachers and students in joint research processes. Although it does not require the level of depth of a scientific article, it does require a clear structure, rigorous academic writing and innovative proposals that invite analysis and reflection.

 

Publication languages

The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The title, abstract and keywords must be submitted in two languages, with English being mandatory as one of them.

 

Format and structure

Authors should use the official template in Word, available in all three languages, which includes style, structure, citation, and formatting guidelines. The manuscript must contain:

·         Article Title

·         Summary and Keywords

·         Introduction

·         Materials and methods

·         Results

·         Discussion

·         Conclusion

·         Contributions from authors (CRediT)

·         References (updated IEEE standard)

·         Appendix (Only if they exist)

·         Acknowledgements (if applicable)

 

Mandatory documentation

All submissions must include:

·         The manuscript in Word format, following the official template: English , Spanish ,or  Portuguese 

·         The Cover Letter, Declaration of Origin of the manuscript and assignment of copyright, Spanish, English or  Portuguese. Signed by all authors, especially if it derives from theses, conferences or institutional projects, with the respective signature (digital or legible handwritten), of each of the authors.

·         Prior check protocol, English, Spanish or Portuguese. Confirming compliance with the editorial standards, with the respective signature (digital or legible handwritten), of each of the authors.

 

Authorship and ethics

All authors must have contributed intellectually to the work, approve the final version of the manuscript and accept its submission. The journal adheres to the ethical principles of the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and demands transparency in authorship, declaration of conflicts of interest and respect for intellectual property.

 

Preliminary review.
All manuscripts received will be evaluated by the editorial committee. If they do not meet the journal's basic criteria, they will be returned to the corresponding author so that the non-conformities can be corrected.

 

Double - Blind Peer Review

The manuscripts received will be initially evaluated by the editorial committee. If they meet the basic requirements, they will undergo a double-blind peer review process, guaranteeing impartiality, quality and scientific rigor.

 

Translation and visibility

Accepted articles may be translated into English, Spanish or Portuguese by the editorial team, depending on the original language, to expand their international visibility.

Authors must submit their manuscripts exclusively in Word format (.doc or .docx), using the journal's official template. 
 
Submissions can be made by registering and logging in online to check the status of recent submissions. Alternatively, they can be sent by email to the editorial address indicated on the website.
 
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
 
•    The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal.
•    The submission file is in Microsoft Word format and includes author information, email address, institutional affiliation, and ORCID.
•    The cover letter, declaration of origin, and transfer of rights, signed by each of the authors.
•    The checklist, signed by each of the authors.
