Abstract

The environmental pollution, caused by the industrialization and increased by the overpopulation and deforestation of forests and jungles, facing industries to develop remediation plans to counteract those effects. This research aims, to the time that quantify the greenhouse gases produced by the activities -both industrial and anthropogenic- of a metalworking enterprise, to offersolutions to attenuate its environmental impact. With the use of the methodology established by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the Protocol Greenhouse Gases, the amounts in tonnes of carbon dioxide (1038.9707), methane (3.2181x10-2), oxide nitrogen (1.6210x10-2) and chlorofluorocarbons (6.1938x10-2) are delimited as the amount of gases emitted by such enterprise during the year 2015. These and their effects will be mitigated through sowing of 555 individuals of Tasmanian bluegum (Eucalyptus globulus), forming a car bon sink; and adequate plans to reduce the consumption of materials, electric power, and therefore, referred gases.
