The term internship is derived from “intern” which refers to a formative, educational, transitory relationship. The internship is a form of undergraduate work performed by the student in a public or private company, related to his future profession, that is, it is a form of temporary hiring through which the student becomes familiar with the strategies and real needs of a company, achieving the work experience that is a requirement demanded by the labor market.
This system is supported by a bilateral agreement between the universities and the companies through which the University offers the student the possibility of completing his academic training and developing his skills in the face of the daily and real problems of the profession. With this purpose, the company hires among its ranks a cheaper human capital, and replaces permanent employees who do not generate an employment relationship. The internship has the particularity of having three pillars: The Company, the University and the Intern.
