Instructions for Authors
The Revista Universidad de Guayaquil is edited and sponsored by the Universidad de Guayaquil; it is open access and free of charge. The journal is published biannually. It is aimed at professionals, academics, and researchers in specialized areas of Social Sciences.
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process and are inspected using the automated system for plagiarism prevention and Artificial Intelligence (AI) detection, TURNITIN. The editorial board considers as original and unpublished those articles with a similarity percentage no greater than 10% overall and up to 3% similarity with a single source. Additionally, manuscripts will be evaluated under the Artificial Intelligence Use Policies; the undeclared use of AI or a detection percentage higher than 40% is grounds for automatic rejection. Failure to meet these parameters will result in a rejection for publication and removal from the journal's OJS database.
The article can be submitted in Spanish or English. Once accepted after the review process, the final version of the article will undergo a translation process into English or Spanish to publish the article in both versions. This translation will be carried out by the journal's editorial team free of charge for the authors. Authors will receive the translated version for their review before final publication.
The manuscript will be received exclusively through this OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform on the web portal of the Revista Universidad de Guayaquil.
