A more frequent morbidity study was carried out using the international classification of diseases (ICD-10) of the WHO during the period July 2008 - June 2009 by the dental service of the II naval zone in Galapagos whose population is 98% from Ecuador continental, with the purpose of knowing the oral health situation of the community. The results obtained indicated dental caries as the first pathology present in 65% of the registered cases, followed by diseases of the pulp and periapical tissues in 17%. The age group that presented the most pathologies was that of adolescents and young people between 15 - 19 years of age, and there was a greater presence of pathologies in men than in women. The need for better care for the most vulnerable age group is then concluded that dental actions should be aimed at solving the problem of dental caries that the most effective way to achieve this is by emphasizing preventive health from an early age.
