Method to calculate rainfall intensity duration-frequency curves for a geographic area based on rainfall information

clear 715 / 5.000 Resultados de traducción Resultado de traducción In this work, the result of the analysis of the hourly rainfall relationships in pluviographs is presented, observing that they are the same as the relationships found in other parts of the world, thus confirming the apparent universal nature of these relationships; Therefore, based on this, a method is derived to calculate the intensity - duration - frequency curves by applying these relationships to the daily rainfall information recorded in rain gauges. The method is applied to the region of the Lower Guayas Basin Southeast Sector. As a result, the intensity - duration - frequency curves for that region and the comparison of the calculated rainfall and the rainfall recorded at the San Simón station are presented.References
