Abstract

A mathematical model is a simplified reproduction of reality, which plays a heuristic function allows to describe and explore new  relationships and qualities of the object of study. Specifically in mathematics it is working with formal models. A formal model for sorne mathematical theory is a set on which defined a set of unary, binary and trinary relations, which satisfies the propositionsderived from the axioms of set theory. A black box is an element that is studied from the point of view of the inputs and outputs or receives responses occurs, regardless of its inner workings. In other words, a black box we are interested in how they interact with the environment around him understanding what makes the mathematical model. In our article presents the black box outputs, not only in the results but in the appropriation of knowledge. This paper addresses the application of mathematical modeling in productive and economic processes, from teaching applied mathematics in Higher Education.
