Author Biography

  • Raquel Vera-Ortega, University of Guayaquil

    She is Editor of the scientific journal Engineering and Applied Sciences in Industry (EASI) and a faculty member and researcher at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. She holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences at the University of Santander, Mexico. She leads institutional research projects and actively participates in community engagement, innovation, and higher education development initiatives. Her scientific output includes publications in journals indexed in Scopus, Latindex 2.0, and other international indexing databases, in addition to serving as a reviewer for scientific journals. Her research areas include digital transformation, digital governance, sustainable entrepreneurship, innovation, higher education, and process management. Through her editorial and research activities, she promotes the dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge and strengthens international academic collaboration.
