Anti-plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Revista Universidad de Guayaquil are inspected by a disciplined anti-plagiarism policy that ensures the originality of the articles.

The publisher considers as original and unpublished, those articles with a percentage of similarity of no more than 10% with respect to other sources and up to 3% of similarity with a single source, otherwise, they will be rejected for publication and will be removed from the OJS database of the journal. Therefore, the authors agree that the manuscript will be submitted to a similarity review by means of TURNITIN software.

In addition, Revista Universidad de Guayaquil recommends authors and reviewers, and the scientific community, the use of specialized tools for similarity detection, such as: Grammarly, Plagium, Copionic, WriteCheck, PaperRater, Plagarisma.net, Viper Plagarism Scanner or CrossCheck.
