About the Journal
The Revista Universidad de Guayaquil (RUG) is one of the first open access academic journals in Ecuador that publishes scientific papers since 1930 with a semiannual periodicity. The journal is aimed at researchers, teachers, students and the general public, available free of charge, without charge to the user or his institution, and without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the author. It focuses on the dissemination of scientific papers, research advances and development in different areas of social sciences such as: Psychology, Economics and Business, Education, Sociology, Law, Politics, Communication, other social sciences). Contributions must be original following the processes and protocols of scientific research methodologies, which are submitted to peer review. As of February 2024, in order to improve the quality of the editorial process, the journal changes from a multidisciplinary approach to a focus on Social Sciences.
The Universidad de Guayaquil Journal is edited and directed by the Universidad de Guayaquil.
