Abstract

Higher education has the social responsibility of satisfying the technical, economic and social needs of a country. At the nternational level, the technical sciences contribute to identify and understand the barriers that impede the achievement of certain goals, that is why the professional training of these students s an aspect of interest. Global trends today, promote education focused on learning and not teaching, making the student the axis of the process. The economic formation is considered a necessity, in the way to reach, in the graduated ones, high levels of quality in the labor performance of the same ones. The objective of this article is to carry out an analysis on the professional training of the students technical sciences, emphasizing their economic formation. The research done, addresses the issue from the point of view expressed by sorne international organizations and the governing documents governing vocational training in Cuba.
