Abstract

The main objective of this research work is to analyze the competitiveness of Ecuador's banana exports to the European Union together with the potential competitors of the CAN member countries, Central American countries and the African, Caribbean and Pacific region. (ACP) considering indicators proposed by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) by obtaining data from official sources such as the Central Bank of Ecuador, as well as from international sources such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The research has a mixed, qualitative and quantitative approach and is documentary since it analyzes theories and measurement instruments on the country's competitiveness within the international environment.
