This article examines the implementation of “All About Digital Narratives,” a customized ChatGPT, within the Master of Education with a Mention in Digital Environments at the Universidad Bolivariana del Ecuador, involving 57 students from the Parallel 23 group during the 2022-23 academic year. The tool was designed to facilitate the understanding and production of digital narratives among students. Through direct observation and the collection of textual feedback, the tool’s utility in autonomous learning and its impact on student motivation and project development was assessed. The study identified significant challenges related to accessibility, due to the need for a ChatGPT Plus subscription and variability in students’ prior experience with similar technologies, which affected the adoption and efficiency of the tool. Despite these barriers, the overall response to “All About Digital Narratives” was positive, highlighting its potential to enrich digital education. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need to address equity of access and training in the use of AI tools to ensure effective and equitable educational integration.
