The journal Ingeniería Química y Desarrollo (INQUIDE), as part of the Portal of Scientific Journals of the University of Guayaquil, implements OAI-PMH (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocols. These protocols allow INQUIDE contents to be harvested by several distribution systems, including digital repositories and harvesters.

This implementation facilitates the harvesting of INQUIDE metadata in different formats, which significantly increases the visibility and accessibility of articles published in the journal.
