Optimización de recursos en gestión farmacéutica hospitalaria: revisión sistemática aplicada

Resumen

La administración farmacéutica en el ámbito hospitalario representa un componente estratégico para la sostenibilidad y eficiencia de los sistemas de salud, especialmente en contextos de alta demanda y limitación de recursos. El presente artículo de revisión tiene como objetivo analizar la optimización de recursos en la gestión farmacéutica hospitalaria mediante la integración de evidencia empírica proveniente del Hospital de Especialidades Guayaquil “Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón” (periodo 2012–2014) y literatura científica actualizada. Se empleó una metodología de revisión sistemática bajo lineamientos PRISMA 2020, combinada con análisis documental y triangulación de datos primarios. Los resultados evidencian que las principales problemáticas se relacionan con deficiencias en la gestión de inventarios, uso irracional de medicamentos y procesos no estandarizados. La evidencia contemporánea confirma que herramientas como sistemas de dosis unitaria, automatización de inventarios, centrales de mezclas intravenosas y seguimiento farmacoterapéutico mejoran la eficiencia y seguridad del paciente. Los resultados permiten inferir que la optimización de recursos requiere un enfoque integral basado en farmacoeconomía, digitalización y fortalecimiento del talento humano.
