About the Journal

CONEXIONES UG is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, edited by the Decanato de Vinculación con la Sociedad y Bienestar Universitario of the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Focus and Scope

The main objective of the journal is the dissemination of original research that promotes social-scientific development for the resolution of problems in socio-educational and community realities. It is aimed at an international academic audience and adopts a transdisciplinary perspective.

Publication Frequency

CONEXIONES UG maintains a semiannual publication frequency, covering the periods of January-June and July-December.

Open Access Policy

Based on the principle that making research freely available to the public encourages a greater global exchange of knowledge, this journal provides immediate open access to its content. The Decanato de Vinculación con la Sociedad y Bienestar Universitario guarantees that there are no Article Processing Charges (APC); therefore, submitting, evaluating, and publishing in CONEXIONES UG is free of charge for authors.

Digital Preservation

To ensure the permanent availability of its contents, the journal uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) digital preservation system, in addition to having internal biannual backup protocols on institutional servers.
