Políticas anti-plagio

CONEXIONES UG Journal, a publication of the Decanato de Vinculación con la Sociedad y Bienestar Universitario at the University of Guayaquil, maintains a firm commitment to academic integrity and the originality of scientific production.

To ensure compliance with these standards, the following guidelines are applied:

  • Requirement of Originality: All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and unpublished works.

  • Verification Tool: The journal utilizes Turnitin specialized software as the primary tool for detecting similarities and potential plagiarism.

  • Review Procedure: Prior to the peer-review process, the Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial technical review, which includes an originality analysis using the aforementioned software.

  • Rejection Criteria: If plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or redundant submission is detected at any stage of the process, the Editorial Committee reserves the right to immediately reject the manuscript.

  • Ethical Framework: This policy is complemented by our Declaration of Ethics and Good Practices, based on the international standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
