Abstract

Inadequate management of fertilization in corn cultivation is one of the main causes of low yields, according to research soils have low contents of micronutrients such as zinc and boron, and nitrogen and sulfur are present in insufficient concentrations for profitable production, the objective of this research was to manage site-specific nutrients in corn fertilization in the Vinces area, Ecuador, the experimental design was applied randomized complete blocks with seven treatments and four replications, dry matter yield, total nutrient content in the crop were evaluated; grain yield; Nutrient agronomics: The results obtained indicated that treatment T6 (NPKSMg) has the highest yield 5668.4 Kg ha-1 and highest nitrogen content 126.8 Kg ha-1, surpassing the witness with 24.8 Kg ha-1 and 36.5 Kg ha-1  when this element was omitted, the internal recovery efficiency showed that there was no antagonism of S and K with the applied nitrogen; In addition, there was synergy with Mg, increasing by 1.7 Kg ha-1 of grain per kilo of nitrogen applied, it is concluded that, a complete fertilization achieves higher grain yields in Kg ha-1 and concentrates a higher nutrient content in the corn grain and that for the Vinces area the priority in terms of fertilization is nitrogen
