About the Journal
The Ecuadorian Journal of Psychological Sciences aims to promote the dissemination of original, ethical, and high-quality research across the various areas of the psychological sciences, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and encouraging academic production that responds to the needs of Ecuador, with a commitment to rigour, transparency, and the inclusion of diverse perspectives.
In this framework, the journal Perspectives in Psychological Sciences seeks to foster the development of original and ethical research in multiple areas of the psychological sciences, including clinical and health psychology, educational psychology, organisational psychology, and social psychology, with the aim of advancing scientific knowledge and addressing the needs of the Ecuadorian context. It also aims to disseminate high-quality scientific knowledge by facilitating access to innovative, methodologically rigorous, and contextually relevant articles and studies for the academic and professional community in Latin America. In addition, the journal supports local and regional scientific production, contributing to the growth of psychology in academic and professional settings across Latin America and promoting equitable representation of Latin American authors within the scientific landscape. A further objective is to maintain a clear commitment to freedom of thought, transparency, and responsibility in the editorial process, ensuring impartiality and integrity in the evaluation and publication of manuscripts.
The articles published address a wide range of topics relevant to the psychological sciences, encompassing both theoretical approaches and practical applications in professional contexts. These include, although are not limited to, clinical and health psychology, educational psychology, organisational and social psychology, cognition, emotions, criminal behaviour, and neuropsychology.
